Lovely little set-up with a good atmosphere and vibe. Not a cider drinker but there's such a huge range there's something everyone will like. Also the fact you can play games and bring food in from the chippy next door is fantastic.

I came in after a long week of work for a quiet one, and was immediately impressed by the causal, calm element, even when surrounded by the bustling atmosphere. It’s fresh, a little bit polished, and quietly confident in a way that makes you think, yes, Chard can have nice things too. There’s a clear nod to the modern Somerset crowd here — people who appreciate good taste without any of the fuss. The cider list alone deserves applause, with proper local selections that remind you why this county does it better than anyone. Ryan knows his stuff, the lighting’s soft, and there’s a genuine friendliness to the place. It’s exactly the kind of venue that helps redefine what a small market town can be: rooted in tradition, but not afraid of progress. Brilliant Micropub with great drinks, particularly the ciders which include tasty non-alcoholic options with knowledgeable staff.

Great cider selection and even better atmosphere. Very cozy pub with delicious cider, fun pub games, and the owner/bartender Ryan is an all time great host. Not to mention it's dog friendly too! If you are in Chard and are looking for a place to have a pint or two, you can't go wrong popping into the Somerset Inn.

Great place to be! Brought my chippy tea in from next door and enjoyed it with some lovely cider.

Definitely worth a visit. Whether you live in Chard or are down for the weekend. Perfect for thee cider drinkers. (And they still have lager for those who dont) Nice small place much more personal than the chain brands. One of the the most unique features is you can get a takeaway. From one of chards many Chinese, chip shop or Indian places. And bring it into the pub and enjoy it with a cider.

First visit today. Welcoming! Good atmosphere, friendly staff and customers. Excellent selection of ciders including one locally produced yet hitherto unknown to me. A great place to lose a couple of hours and I shall be calling in again.
